Equipment & Associated Equipment
Section titled “Equipment & Associated Equipment”Why can’t I attach a certificate for my associated equipment to my equipment item?
Section titled “Why can’t I attach a certificate for my associated equipment to my equipment item?”Items in Ex-Online are restricted to one certificate each because the certificate data is used to populate fields in Tag Browser. Certificates for associated equipment should be attached to the associated equipment item itself, then linked to the parent equipment item.
Why can’t I edit the certificate number of an equipment item?
Section titled “Why can’t I edit the certificate number of an equipment item?”Certificate numbers are read-only because the value is populated from the document attached to the item. To change the certificate number:
- Missing or incorrect certificate — upload a new certificate
- Typo in the existing certificate — update the document details
Importing Data
Section titled “Importing Data”Can I bulk-edit items by uploading the import template spreadsheet?
Section titled “Can I bulk-edit items by uploading the import template spreadsheet?”No. Do not use Import to update equipment. For bulk changes, use Group Editing or the Equipment Window.
Where can I download the latest import template?
Section titled “Where can I download the latest import template?”Open the Help menu (question mark icon in the header bar) and click Downloads. The Downloads page provides the latest import template and an example import package. See Getting the Import Template for step-by-step instructions.
Documents
Section titled “Documents”I accidentally deleted a document from an item — can I get it back?
Section titled “I accidentally deleted a document from an item — can I get it back?”It depends on whether the document is still linked to other items:
- Still linked elsewhere — the document is still in your dossier. Link it back to the item.
- Not linked to any other item — upload the document again, or restore a backup.
