Defect dashboards

AnalytEx includes two defect-focused dashboards. This page covers both.

Open Defects

The Open Defects dashboard provides a quick summary of existing open defects across your projects.

Accessing

From the AnalytEx home screen, click Open Defects.

Dashboard Elements

Element	Description
Summary Metrics	Headline counts: open defects, defective equipment items, totals, and projects
Most Common Defect Types	Most common defect reasons (shown as a list or chart, depending on the workbook)
Open Defect by Priority	Bar chart of open defects by project and priority

Interactions

Most Common Defect Types — Hover the text of a defect line to see how many open defects match that type.

Open Defect by Priority — Hover over a bar segment to see the defect count for that project and priority.

Click a mark to Exclude that data or Keep only that data for focused analysis.

Filtering

This dashboard has the standard filters — Account, Project, Job Number, Site, and Area — and an additional Priority filter unique to Open Defects: All, High, Medium, Low, or Unassigned.

All filters apply to the whole dashboard.

Defects Closure

The Defects Closure dashboard shows the history of closed defects over time.

Accessing

From the AnalytEx home screen, click Defects Closure.

Dashboard Elements

Element	Description
Count of Defects Closed by Project	Bar chart of closures per project, colour-coded by priority
Count of Defects Closed	Bar chart over time (year and month hierarchy)
Date Range	Slider with start and end dates for the closure period
Priority key	Colour-coded labels: High, Medium, Low, Unassigned

Interactions

Count of Defects Closed by Project — Hover over a bar segment to see the exact closure count for that project and priority.

Count of Defects Closed — Hover over a bar segment to see closure counts for that time period. Click a year or month label to filter the dashboard to that period.

Click a mark on either chart to:

• Exclude that data from the view
• Keep only that data for focused analysis

Date Range — Drag the slider handles to narrow the closure period.

Priority key — Click a priority level to highlight that band across both charts.

Filtering

This dashboard has the standard filters — Account, Project, Job Number, Site, and Area — and an additional Date Range slider unique to Defects Closure.

All filters apply to the whole dashboard.
