Action Window

The Action Window opens from the three-dot button beside an action row and is docked beside the grid. It describes the individual action, its equipment context, and any controls specific to its type or state.

The adjacent row menu provides View Action for the individual action view. The Actions toolbar operates on checked records; opening a Window does not replace that selection.

The current record interface groups Equipment, Action Info, Description, Action Details, Actions, User Defined Fields, and Priority & Comment.

GroupMeaning
EquipmentThe equipment associated with the action and its location/context.
Action InfoThe action’s identity, type, and record information.
DescriptionDescriptive context for the action.
Action DetailsThe work or proposed equipment changes represented by the action.
ActionsOperations available for this action’s type and state.
User Defined FieldsAdditional project-specific action values.
Priority & CommentPriority and supporting context for the action.

Context links open related information without being bulk actions on the Actions grid.

ControlWhat it doesScope / availability
Open EqOpens the associated equipment. The equipment related to this action.
Open Inspection DocumentOpens the related inspection document where available. The action’s inspection context.
No Inspection Document AttachedIndicates that no inspection document is available.A disabled control, rather than an upload or document-creation command.
Close buttonCloses the Window. The displayed panel, rather than the action record.

The current action form offers named priority choices: High, Medium, Low, and Unassigned. An underlying numeric value in the grid is not a separate priority system.

Priority and comment editing are available in the individual action interface. Changes across selected actions use Actions — Update, which includes Priority, Comment, and other_1 to other_6 through a review-and-confirm dialog.

The available operations depend on the action’s type and current state. The presence of a control on one record does not establish its availability on every action.

ControlWhat it doesContext
Apply ICS ChangesApplies the equipment changes proposed by an inspection check sheet. An ICS Equipment Update action.
Ignore ICS ChangesDismisses the proposed equipment changes. An ICS Equipment Update action.

For ICS updates, Action Details can contain field-key/value text such as cert_no or mot_voltage. That text describes proposed equipment changes, not an editable Priority or Comment field.

Other workflows can involve new equipment, tag reviews, or related defects. Their specific decisions belong to the individual record view; a general toolbar Open/Close command does not describe all type-specific effects.

Selected-action status changes are described in Actions — Open and Actions — Close.

The open Action Window identifies one record. Checkboxes identify the records targeted by toolbar Update, Open, and Close.

An action-specific operation in the Window concerns the displayed action and its associated workflow. An operation on several checked actions belongs to the Actions view and uses its selection, including rows hidden by filters or pagination.

These guides explain tasks connected to the action.
